5 held with 7,000 yaba pills

The Department of Narcotics Control arrested five suspected drug dealers along with 7,000 contraband Yaba tablets from the city’s Palashi Toll Plaza on Monday.
The arrestees are Md Rezaul Islam, 25, Md Maruf, 29, Md Monir Hossain, 23, Md Mamun and Md Zillur Rahman, 30.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of the Department of Narcotics Control, led by its Inspector Md Fazlul Haque, challenged a private car near the toll plaza on Jatrabari-Gulistan Flyover at noon, a news agency report said.
Later, they recovered the Yaba pills searching the vehicle. They also arrested the five drug dealers and seized the private car, said Inspector Fazlul Haque.
