5 including Pak citizen arrested in Ctg

CHITTAGONG, Nov 23 (Agencies): Detective Branch (DB) of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) arrested five persons including a Pakistani citizen from Hotel Lord's Inn, a residential hotel at the city's GEC crossing at 1pm today.
Police suspects that the arrested persons are militants.
Deputy Commissioner of DB Kusum Dewan said the persons who have been detained are being questioned.
The arrested persons were identified as Mohammad Alam, 41, a citizen of Pakistan, Abdul Majid,30, Mohammad Ali,50, Mohammad Salamat Ullah,45 and Shafi Ullah,36.
Kusum Dewan said Alam is a Pakistan national. His passport has been confiscated. Alam claimed that he is the director of voluntary organization Global Rohingya Centre, the headquarters of which is in the Netherlands, Dewan added.
Tipped off, a police team raided the hotel and arrested them, said Dewan.
Police also seized two passports from their possession.
