5 injured in Munshiganj clash

MUNSHIGANJ, Jan 21 (UNB): Five people were injured in a clash between two groups of villagers in Gajaria upazila on Tuesday morning.
Locals said Ripon, president of Jubo Dal Hesendi union unit, and Sohel, president of the same unit Bangladesh Chhatra League, had long been at loggerheads over establishing supremacy in the neighbourhood.
On the day, the two groups, equipped with lethal weapons, attacked each other, leaving five people injured. Being informed, police rushed in and brought the situation under control.
