5 kids rescued from trafficker

Five children have been rescued from being trafficked to India at Jessore’s Sarsa Upazila. A woman, Roxana Khatun, resident of a Benapole, has been arrested in this connection. The children, all boys below the age of ten, are also from Benapole union of the upazila. She had taken the children from Benapole village to Navaron-Satkhira intersection, said Benapole Port Police OC Apurbo Hasan, quoting witnesses. ‘Local people became suspicious when two of the boys began crying while being put on a bus to Satkhira. They beat up Roxana and handed her to the police.’ The children – Masud Rana, 8, Munna, 6, Mamun, 9, Sumon, 8 and Hasan 7, were in the custody of the Benapole Port Police, according to bdnews24.com.
