5 killed, 2 injured in Ctg road crash

CHITTAGONG, June 25: Four microbus passengers and its driver died and two others were injured in a tragic road accident on Dhaka-Chittagong Highway at Kumira Mogpukur in Sitakunda upazila early Friday. The deceased were identified as Abdul Matin (72), his son Mizan (38), Neyamot Hossain (33), Ibrahim (22) and micro driver Delwar (36). They all hailed from Baiora village of Langolkot upazila in Comilla. Of the deceased, Mizan returned to Bangladesh from Dubai today (Friday), nine years after staying there. Police said the accident occurred at about 6:30 am when the Comilla-bound microbus from Chittagong collided with a truck coming from opposite direction, leaving three microbus passengers dead on the spot and injuring four others. — UNB
