5 killed in Habiganj crash

At least five people were killed and six others injured in a road accident in Shayestaganj Upazila in Habiganj district on Tuesday morning. The identities of the deceased could not be known. Police and witnesses said the accident took place on the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway in Sutang area around 7:30am. A rashly-driven truck rammed a CNG-run auto-rickshaw, instantly killing five passengers of the auto-rickshaw and injuring six other people, they said. Locals rescued the injured and rushed them to Habiganj Sadar Adhunik Hospital. Conditions of some of the injured were stated to be critical, according to private TV channels.
