5 killed in road accidents in dists

NATORE, Sept 13: A truck helper was killed in a road mishap at Dattapara under Natore sadar upazila in the district on September 12.
The deceased was identified as Nazmul Hoque, 20, son of Rezaul Karim of village Parmara under Kushtia district.
Officer-in-Charge of Natore thana Abdulla-al-Mamun, said that the accident took place at Dattapara on Natore-Bonpara highway when a Bonpara-Natore bound truck and a Natore-Bonpara truck collided head on, leaving the truck driver dead on the spot. A case has been registered with Natore thana in this connection.
Another message from Khulna adds: A female passerby was killed in a road accident at Abdul Hai Sharok of Mongla on Tuesday morning. The deceased was identified as Chattu Begum of Uttar Chandpai of Mongla thana of Bagerhat district.
Police and local sources said that Chattu Begum, a passerby, was standing in front of Amin Plaza at Sk. Abdul Hai sharok suddenly a speedy truck dashed her from behind and he died on the spot. The driver and helper of the truck managed to escape but police seized the truck. A case has been filed in this connection with Mongla police station.
Another UNB report from Mymensingh adds: A sexagenarian man was crushed under the wheels of a sand-laden truck at Jamirdia in Bhaluka upazila Tuesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Mongol Mia, 60, hailed from Netrokona district.
Police said Mongol Mia died on the spot when a speeding sand laden truck ran over him. He was waiting for a bus on the roadside for returning to Netrokona after meeting his son who is a garments worker.
Another UNB report from Bogra adds: Two teenage boys were killed as their motorbike overturned at Borogola in the town Tuesday morning.
The deceased were identified as Abu Bakar Siddique, 15, son of Waziullah and Parvez, 17, son of Shuku Mia. Both were the residents of Fulbari area in sadar upazila.
Police said, the motorbike carrying Abu Bakar and Parvez skidded off the road and overturned, leaving Abu Bakar dead on the spot and Parvez severely injured at 7am.
Later Parvez also succumbed to his injuries on his way to the hospital. They were heading towards the town from their home. The bodies were sent to the morgue. A UD case was filed in this connection.
