5 picked up by BSF from Sunamganj border return

Five Bangladeshi citizens returned home on Wednesday night, hours after they were picked up by India's Border Security Force (BSF) personnel from Lalghat border point in Tahirpur Upazila in Sunamganj district. BSF handed them over to BGB after a flag meeting held at Lalghat frontier around 6:30pm. The returnees are Shah-ud-Doullah, son of Abdur Rahim, Aminul Islam, son of Unur Uddin, Rithon Miah, son of Riaz Uddin, Din Islam, son of Abdur Rashid, and Shahid Miah, sonĀ  of Hadis Miah, all residents of Lalghat village. Sunamganj Baliaghata BOP BGB Battalion-8 Habildar Rena Miah said a group of BSF troops arrested the five around 3:30pm on Wednesday when they were illegally entering Indian territory through Pillar No. 1196/4 S at Lalghat, according to UNB.
