5 Shibir men held at RU

Police in an overnight drive arrested five activists of Islami Chhatra Shibir Rajshahi University (RU) unit from three dormitories of the university on Saturday. Three of the arrestees were identified as Abdullal Al Galib, a 4th year student of anthropology, Shamim Rahman, 3rd year student of folklore, and Enamul Haque, 3rd year student of Islamic studies. Alamgir Hossain, officer-in-charge of Motihar Police Station, said being tipped off a team of Motihar police raided Shaheed Shamsuzzoha Residential Hall, Shaheed Ziaur Rahmana Hall and Shaheed Habibur Rahman Hall on the campus and arrested them in the morning. Some anti-government leaflets were recovered from their possession, added the OC, according to UNB.
