50 fall sick after taking bread

Shariatpur, May 6 : At least 50 people fell sick in Tumchar village under Sadar upazila Tuesday after taking bread made from flour 'sermonised' by a fakir of Gopalganj district. The ailing people were taken to two hospitals in Shariatpur and Madaripur for treatment. Resident Medical Officer at Shariatpur Sadar Hospital Dr Munir Ahmed Khan said the patients fell sick because of food poisoning. — UNB
