50 injured as 2 trains collide in Lalmonirhat

At least 50 people have been injured a train accident in Kaliganj upazila in Lalmonirhat district on Saturday morning. Lalmonirhat Railway Police Station sources said the accident took place on Lalmonirhar-Burimari railway route around 7am. Two trains simultaneously running in the the same track collided head-on, leaving 50 passengers of both trains injured. When contacted, officer-in-charge Golam Mostafa of Lalmonirhat Railway Police Station confirmed the accident, according to a news agency.
