500 kg Hilsa seized in Satkhira

Member of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive seized 500 kg Hilsa fish worth Tk 0.5 million in Satkhira town early Monday. Being tipped off that a large amount of Hilsa fish would be smuggled to India a patrol team of BGB led by Subedar Kabir Ahmed of BGB-38 headquarters conducted a drive in Sultanpur area and seized the fish around 3:00 am, according to a news agency.
