50,000 pieces of Yaba seized in Cox’s Bazar

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in separate drives recovered 50,000 pieces of contraband Yaba tablets, worth Tk 15 million from Shah Parir Island in Teknaf upazila on Sunday.
Tipped off, a BGB team raided the house of Ismail Hossain in the area around 11am and recovered 5,000 pieces of Yaba, said Lt Col Abuzar Al Zahid, commanding officer of BGB 42 battalion.
He said another BGB team seized 45,000 pieces of Yaba from Beribadh area of the upazila at the same time. However, there was no arrest, according to UNB.
