50,000 Yaba tablets recovered

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel recovered 50,000 pieces of Yaba tablet in an abandoned condition in Teknaf Upazila in Cox’s Bazar district on Sunday morning. Sources at BGB headquarters said a patrol team of the border force noticed a group of people while they were suspiciously roaming on the bank of Naf River around 3:30am. The BGB team challenged them but the suspected smugglers managed to flee the scene. Later, the BGB men called in reinforcement and conducted a search in the whole area and recovered 50,000 Yaba tablets packed in two plastic bags. The value of the seized item will be around Tk 15 million, according to a news agency.
