503 govt officials promoted

The government elevated 503 officials to higher ranks, ranging from deputy secretary to additional secretary, in a record number of mass promotions in the country's history. According to the Ministry of Establishment, 280 senior assistant secretaries have been promoted to the posts of deputy secretary, 163 deputy secretaries to joint secretary posts and 60 joint secretaries to the posts of additional secretary.
