50th birthday of Sheikh Russel Saturday

The 50th birthday of Sheikh Russell, youngest son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, will be observed in a befitting manner Saturday.
On this day in 1964, Sheikh Russell, youngest of three brothers of Awami
League President and the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, was born at the
historic Bangabandhu Bhaban at Dhanmondi in Dhaka.
Minor boy Russell along with Bangabandhu and most of his family members
were assassinated at their Dhanmondi, Road- 32 residence on the fateful night
of August 15 in 1975. Russel was a student of class four at University Laboratory School.
Various political, social and cultural organisations have chalked out
elaborate programmes in observance of Sheikh Russell's birthday, according to a news agency.
