52 more BDR men on 5-day remand

A Dhaka court Thursday placed 52 Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) members on five-day police remand each in the February 25-26 killing case. The court of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) granted the remand for 32 BDR men, as the jail authorities produced them before the court with the criminal investigation department (CID) of police prayed for 10-day remand for each. After hearing the prayer in presence of the accused, CMM Rashed Kabir granted five-day remand for each of them. The CID produced 40 more BDR members, showing them arrested in the case. — BSS
