54 entrepreneurs get CIP cards

The government on Tuesday provided CIP (commercially important person) cards to 54 industrial entrepreneurs in recognition of their contributions to employment generation and economic development. Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu handed over the CIP cards to the recipients at a function organised by the ministry at BIAM auditorium. The CIPs were selected by the government for the CIP status a few months back. They will be facilitated with special facilities for one year from Tuesday. Presided over by Industries Secretary Moinuddin Abdullah, the programme was also addressed by Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) president Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed, according to a news agency.
