54 held in Cox\\\'s Bazar while going to Malaysia illegally

Coast Guard personnel detained 54 people, including six crew and four brokers, from Saint Martin's Island in Teknaf upazila in Cox's Bazar district on Tuesday morning while they were going to Malaysia illegally. Tipped off, an operation team of Coast Guard conducted a drive in the area around 4;00am and arrested 54 people en route to Malaysia travelling by a trawler without valid documents, said Harun-or Rashid, Tekhnaf station commander of Bangladesh Coast Guard. The Coast Guard also arrested six crew and four brokers during the drive, he added, according to UNB.
