55 AL activists of Salanga thana resign

SIRAJGANJ, July 25 (UNB): Some 55 leaders and workers of Dubil union Awami League (AL) in Salanga thana resigned en masse Sunday protesting against their leaders' involvement in corruption.
They submitted their resignation to Zillur Rahman, AL general secretary of Salanga thana unit.
They claimed that Dubil union AL president Farhad Alam Hira and general secretary Shamsul Alam Shova in connivance with Dubil union parishad chairman Akhtarul Islam, an accused in war crime charges, were involved in corruption in different development activities.
