55 birds rescued from poachers

BAGERHAT, Dec 15 (UNB): Detective Branch (DB) of police rescued 55 migratory birds from the clutches of a group of poachers at Hadaerhat bazaar in Sadar upazila on Wednesday and later the birds were freed. Acting on secret information, a team of DB police conducted a raid at the bazaar in the morning. Sensing danger the poachers fled the sceneleaving the birds behind. Later, they freed the birds in the afternoon.
