5.9kg gold recovered at Dhaka, Ctg airports

Customs officials in separate drives arrested a man and recovered 5.9 kg gold from Dhaka and Chattogram airports on Sunday and Monday, reports UNB.
In the capital, the customs officials recovered four gold bars weighing four kilograms from a toilet of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport early Monday.
Othello Chowdhury, deputy commissioner (preventive team) of Dhaka Customs House, said on secret information, a team of customs raided the toilet of 8 no boarding bridge of the airport around 1.00am and recovered the gold bars worth Tk 20 million from a bin.
In Chattogram, the customs intelligence officials arrested a man along with 1.9 kg gold from Shah Amanat International Airport on Sunday.
The arrestee was identified as Rafique Ullah of Raozan upazila of the district.
Director General Customs Intelligence and Investigation Director Dr Shahidul Islam said a flight landed at the airport from Dubai on 11.00am.
