6 'BCL' boys held on charge of snatching

Six youths, said to be activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), were arrested on charge of snatching valuables from a flower trader on the Dhaka University (DU) campus Saturday, reports UNB.
Five of the arrested were identified as Md Mehrab, Qudrat-e-Khuda, Khan Muhammad Jahid, Ruman Hossain Sunny and Muhammad Zaman of Dhaka University and Anirban of Dhaka College.
Officer in-charge (OC) of Shahbagh police station told the news agency that patrol police caught the BCL activists red-handed in front of the Fine Arts Institute while fleeing after snatching the valuables, including Tk 1,800 in cash and a cell-phone set, from the flower trader at about 4:30am.
When contacted, DU Proctor Dr KM Saiful Islam Khan confirmed the arrest and said, "Legal action should be taken against them, no matter which political party they belonged to."
