6 BGB men injured in Kushtia crash

At least six members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) were injured in a road accident in Kushtia town on Sunday morning. BGB sources said a pick-up van carrying the BGB personnel crashed into a roadside tree at Kanabil intersection in the district town, around 6:00 am after one of its tyres got punctured, leaving six border guards injured, some of them seriously. Among the critically injured, Subedar Mahiuddin, Lance Nayek Shafiul Islam, Obaidul Haque, and Sepoy Abdul Halim – were taken to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka by a helicopter, according to UNB.
