6 cattle traders robbed of Tk 1.5m in Dhaka\\\'s Turag

Miscreants looted Tk 1.5 million from 6 cattle traders after stabbing one of them indiscriminately and beating other traders in Turag area on the Eid day (Monday). Cattle trader Jamirul, 40, received critical stab injuries on his neck and chick. He was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital while Lutfor Rahman, 40, Mokkel, 45, Fuad Ali, 40, Ashraful, 40, and Jahangir, 45, received injuries in different parts of their body and received treatment from the hospital. Police said 7 cattle traders, including the 6, boarded a truck from Gabtoli around 6am. A gang of criminals stopped the truck at Balurgadi under Turag Police Station and swooped on the cattle traders. As Jamirul tried to resist them they stabbed him and beat five others. They snatched away Tk 1.5m from them, according to a news agency.
