6 fake DB men arrested in city

Members of Rapid Action Battalion-3 arrested six fake Detective Branch (DB) personnel from Dakshin Khan Area in the city Thursday.
They also seized a pair of handcuff, three identity cards of police, a camera used for blackmailing people, Tk22,000 and nine mobile sets, said a press release.
The arrestees are M Khairul Alam Prakash, 42, M Pannu Mian, 35, M Saiful Islam Niloy, 25, M Khairul Islam Monir, 32, Shamima Akhter Trishna, 27, and Umme Tasnin Eva, 19.
"Acting on a tip off, a RAB team arrested Prakash and Pannu from Faidabad area and other four from in front of Uttara Girls' High School yesterday," said the press release.
The arrestees were involved in looting and cheating people by impersonating them as members of DB.
