6 Feni police SIs transferred

Six sub-inspectors (SI) of Feni Model Police Station have been transferred to different places of the district. Feni’s Assistant Superintendent of Police (Circle) Shamsul Alam Sarkar confirmed it to bdnews24.com on Sunday. The order comes after the murder of Phulgazi Upazila Chairman Ekramul Haque last month that raised questions about law and order in the district. However, ASP Sarkar said these transfers were routine. The SIs transferred were Md Mesbahuddin, Md Golam Hakkani, Md Alamgir Hossain, Zobaidul Nahar, Md Rafiqul Islam and Md Ershad. Process was on to induct SIs from other police stations to fill the vacant posts, the official said, according to bdnews24.com.
