6 jute mills see profit in October

KHULNA, Nov 23 : Six state run jute mills under BJMC of this region have profited about Tk 20 million by selling and producing jute goods from 6,082 bales raw jute during the last month of October 2010. The golden fiber jute has started to return to its past tradition by gaining this profit.
Sources said that the present government has allocated enough fund to save the jute sector of the country. After a decade state run jute mills of the country purchasing raw jute about 100 percent as their demand due to allocation of fund in time. For this reason the production of these mills has been increased.
Source said that the six jute mills under BJMC produced jute goods a total of 6,082 bales of jute. Of them jute goods produced from 426 bales jute at Alim Jute Mills and profited around Tk 0.2 million, 1734 bales in Creasent Jute Mills and profited around Tk 10.3 million, 581 bales in Eastern Jute Mills and profited around Tk 1.3million, 544 bales in JJI mills and profited around Tk 71 thousand, 1553 bales in Platinum Jubilee Jute Mill and profited around Tk 5.8 million and 1032 bales jute goods produced in Star jute Mills and profited around Tk 3.4million.
