6 killed in M\\\'singh road accident

At least six persons were killed and six others injured in a road accident at Bagertek in Mymensingh district on Sunday. The accident occurred around 12 noon when a passenger bus hit a tempo (human hauler) at Bagertek on Muktagachha Bypass road, Officer-in-Charge of Kotwali Police Station Fazlul Karim said. At least six passengers of the tempo were killed and six others injured in the accident, he confirmed. The injured were rushed to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital; he said adding that identities of the victims could not be known immediately. The driver fled the scene with the bus. In protest, locals took to the streets immediately after the accident and continued their demonstration till 2pm, according to BSS.
