6 months maternity leave for bankers

The central bank governor has asked all the financial institutions including banks to make the maternity leave for six months mandatory. Dr. Atiur Rahman made the instruction while addressing a programme in the city on Tuesday. The Bangladesh Bank (BB) governor instructed the organisations to provide all benefits to the women during their maternity leave. He also asked the female workers to inform the central bank authorities concerned if there is any breach of this instruction. The central bank will issue a circular in this regard soon, according to anews agency.
