At least six people, including four women, were killed in separate incidents in Dhaka, Rajshahi, Satkhira, Jessore, Natore and Sylhet districts on Friday. In Satkhira, a woman was strangulated to death allegedly by her rivals for land at Amalkhitola at Sadar Upazila early Friday. Police recovered the body of Sulekha Rani Biswas, wife of Sudam Muhuri of Magura village, from Amalkhitola village, half-a-kilometre away from her home. In Savar Upazila of Dhaka, police recovered the body of an unidentified woman stuffed in a suitcase from near a bridge on Dhaka-Aricha Highway on Friday morning. The body, bearing multiple injury marks, was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy. In Jessore, police recovered the body of an unidentified youth from Putkhali border under Benapole union in Sarsa Upazila. Police suspected that miscreants might have dumped his body there after killing him early Friday. In Sylhet, mystery shrouded the death of a teenaged girl in Goainghat Upazila in the district. Locals found the body of Rubina Akter, 18, daughter of Abul Kashem of Bhitorgul village, hanging in a room in a house on Friday and informed police who recovered the body, bearing injury marks, and sent it to a hospital for autopsy. Locals suspected that miscreants might have killed Rubina and hang her body there. In Rajshahi, the body of an alleged heroine addict, Golam Rabbani, 25, was recovered from Mundomala Poura area of Tanore Upazila on Friday morning. His body bore several injury marks. In Natore, some miscreants beat to death the son of a local Awami League (AL) leader and dumped his body in a jungle in Ramnagar area. Police recovered the body of Arman Ali, 28, son of Abdus Salam Bablu, president of Ward-8 of Natore Municipality unit of AL, from the jungle and sent it to Sadar Hospital for autopsy. Police suspected that Arman might have been beaten to death, according to agencies.
