6 shops gutted in Lakshmipur fire

At least six business establishments were gutted by a fire in Lakshmipur town on Sunday. Fire Services officials said the fire originated from electric shot circuit at a shop in Post Office area at dead of night and soon engulfed five adjoining shops. Being informed, several fire fighting units rushed to the spot and doused the flame after one hour of frantic efforts. The affected shop owners claimed that the loss caused by the fire would be Tk 5 million, according to UNB.
