CHITTAGONG, Apr 19 (UNB): At least six students were injured in a clash between two rival groups of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) Chittagong University unit in a train at Sholoshahar railway station in the port city Sunday.
Sources said as a sequel to the teasing of a girl Saturday an altercation ensued between the two groups when the varsity bound shuttle train reached Sholashahar station.
Later, both the groups attacked each other with sticks in the train, leaving six students injured.
The unruly activists also vandalised some window panes of the train which created panic among the other general students.
On information, police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under their control. After one hour delay, the train then resumed its journey and reached the campus.
Meanwhile, additional police forces have been deployed on the campus to avert further trouble.
