6 to die, 7 get life for killing law-enforcers

BAGERHAT, Aug 19: A court here Tuesday sentenced six forest robbers to death and seven others to life term imprisonment for killing three law enforcers in the Sundarbans' Bagerhat area in 2006. The condemned convicts-Rafiqul Sheikh, Kuddus Sheikh, Idris Sheikh, Babul Sheikh, Alkas Sheikh and Ilias Sheikh-hail from Khalkuria village in Morelganj upazila of the district. The all 13 convicts are now on the run.
