6 to die for killing a man in N\\\'ganj

Half a dozen men have been sentenced to death for killing Narayanganj businessman Monir Hossain in 2008. Narayanganj Additional District and Sessions Judge Miaji Shahidul Alam Chowdhury gave the verdict on Monday. The six convicted were all present in the court. They are 'Solaiman’, ‘Ripon’, ‘Jahangir’, ‘Akkas’, ‘Wahid’ and ‘Rony’. Monir Hossain was returning home from his business on July 25, 2008, when he was caught by the miscreants who beat him and took away his money. But the victim, the case details said, was able to identify some of the attackers who then killed him by tying up his hands and feet and throwing him in the water blindfolded. Locals later recovered his body. His wife Hasina Begum filed the murder case, according to bdnews24.com.
