60 children affected by pneumonia in Chandpur

CHANDPUR, Nov 27 (UNB): Pneumonia that has broken out in three upazilas of the district affected about 60 children in five days until Monday.
Hospital sources said about sixty children of Sadar, Matlab North and Matlab South upazilas, were admitted to the Matlab Upazila Health Complex during the period.
On an average, 10 children were admitted to the hospital per day with acute pneumonia, hospital source said.
Dr Mahbubur Rahman, on-duty physician of the hospital, told UNB that children were affected by acute pneumonia due to cold weather.
