60,000 yaba tablets seized in Naf River

Members of Bangladesh Coast Guard have seized 60,000 yaba tablets in Naf River at Teknaf upazila in Cox’s Bazar district on Sunday. Acting on secret information, a team of Coast Guard conducted a drive in Naf River near Keruntali at Teknaf. Sensing the presence of the law enforcers, the drug smugglers threw the yaba packets into the river. Later, the coast guard members recovered more than 60,000 pieces of yaba, worth around Tk 30 million, from underwater of Naf River at 4:30am. A case will be filed with Teknaf police station in this connection, according to a news agency.
