61,000 Yaba tablets seized

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel seized 61,000 pieces of Yaba tablet at Teknaf upazila in Cox's Bazar district on Friday. Abujar Al Zahid, commanding officer of BGB-42, said being tipped off, a BGB team conducted a raid at Naitongpara at the upazila and recovered 61,000 pieces of Yaba tablet from a boat on the bank of Naf River around 2:00 am. The market value of the seized drugs is Tk 18.3 million, he informed. However, no arrest was made as the smugglers managed to escape before the border guards arrived at the spot, according to a news agency.
