614 appointed executive magistrates for election duty

Some 614 administration cadre officials have been appointed as executive magistrates to check the violation of the electoral code of conduct and other crimes, and maintain the law and order during the forthcoming general election, reports UNB.
The Public Administration Ministry issued a notification on Monday in this regard.
The executive magistrates were appointed as per section 10 (5) of the Code of Criminal Procedure Act-2009.
They have been given the power to conduct mobile courts from December 28 until December 31.
