62 BDR men sent to jail after being produced in court

Another band of 60 BDR jawans suspected as mutineers were brought to court and all of them sent to jail Saturday following the carnage in the border force's Peelkhana headquarters. The court also granted 2-day fresh remand for another five BDR personnel and sent two others to jail after they were produced in court on completion of their 5-day remand. Court sources said 60 BDR men were taken to Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Court in the afternoon by three prison vans amid tight security in the afternoon. Magistrate Sayeda Minhaj-um-Monira ordered them into jail. — UNB
