62 cos win export trophy

A total of 62 companies will receive National Export Trophy for the fiscal year 2014-15 in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the country's export earnings.
The commerce ministry selected the names of the award-winning companies under 28 categories through a gazette notification on March 15.
Zaber and Zubair Fabrics Limited has won two gold trophies as the best exporter for their highest export earnings and for the category of home and specialised textile in the FY 2014-15, according to the notification.
Out of the 62 companies, 28 have been selected for gold trophy while 20 for silver and 14 for bronze.
According to the gazette notification, 28 gold trophy winning companies are: Zaber and Zubair Fabrics Limited, AKM Knitwear Ltd, Fakir Knitwears Limited, Kamal Yarn Ltd, Envoy Textile Ltd, Noman Terry Towel Ltd, Jalalabad Frozen Foods Ltd, Popular Jute Exchange Ltd, Akij Jute Mills Ltd, SAF Industries Ltd, Picard Bangladesh Ltd, Bay Footwear Ltd (Unit-02), Mansur General Trading Company Limited, Pran Dairy Ltd, Rajdhani Enterprise, Karupanna Rangpur Limited, Bengal Plastic Industries Ltd (Unit-03), Shine Pukur Ceramics Ltd, Uniglory Cycle Industries Ltd, BRB Cable Industries Ltd, BSRM Steels Ltd, Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Service Engine Ltd, Universal Jeans Ltd, RM Interlinings Ltd, Montrims Ltd, Gazi Enterprise and Fexinco.
Twenty silver trophy winners are: Rifat Garments Ltd, GMS Composite Knitting Industry Ltd, Badsha Textile Ltd, Paramount Textile Ltd, ACS Textile Bangladesh Ltd, Meenhar Sea Foods Limited, Babul Jute Trading, Janata Jute Mills Ltd, Dhaka Hide and Skins Ltd, RMM Leather Industries Ltd, Footbed Footwear Ltd, Heritage Enterprise, Pran Agro Ltd, Capital Enterprise, Classical Handmade Products BD, Durable Plastic Ltd, Protik Ceramics Ltd, Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Pacific Jeans Ltd and Uniglory Paper and Packaging Ltd.
Fourteen bronze-winning exporters are: Ananta Apparels Ltd, Square Fashions Ltd, Sufia Cotton Mills Ltd, Hamza Textiles Ltd, Kuliarchar Sea Foods (Cox's Bazar) Ltd, The Golden Fiber Trade Centre Ltd, ABC Footwear Ltd, Akij Footwear Industries Ltd, Mansur General Trading Co, Mymensingh Agro Ltd, BD Creation, Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Vintage Denim Studio Ltd and Zaber and Zubair Accessories Ltd.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to hand over the export trophy to the businessmen but the date is yet to be finalised, a commerce ministry official said, adding that the date would be finalised, once they get consent from the Prime Minister.
