63 killed by chemicals in workplace in 3 months : Survey

At least 63 people were killed in Bangladesh in last the three months by toxic chemicals used at workplace, said a survey conducted by Bangladesh Occupational Safety, Health and Environment Foundation (OSHE) Monday, reports BSS.
"At least 63 people were killed by the hazardous chemicals used at their workplace in Bangladesh while as per an ILO report, about two million people are killed annually across the world and about 160 million people have chemical related diseases."
The information came out Monday at a seminar titled 'National Seminar on Safety and Health in the Use of Chemicals at Work: Bangladesh Prospective' at the National Press Club organised by OSHE.
