64 rivers register rise, 15 fall

Water levels at 64 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rise and 15 stations recorded fall. Of the 84 monitored water level stations, two river stations saw the water levels steady while the levels crossed danger marks at two stations, a bulletin issued by FFWC said Friday. The Surma river at Sunamganj and the Khowai were flowing above danger levels by 40cm and 13cm respectively.    — BSS
