67 bombs seized

Police seized 67 bombs from a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Rampur in Feni town on Friday night. The bomb seizure was made on the eve of Saturday's by-polls to Feni Municipality. Acting on a tip-off, police intercepted the auto-rickshaw in the area around 8:30pm while it was coming to the district town from Madhuail village, said officer-in-charge (Investigation) of Feni Model Police Station Mohammad Mahbub Morshed. Later, the law enforcers recovered the 67 crude bombs kept in seven cartons after searching the three-wheeler, he said. Driver of the auto-rickshaw Mamun, 20, son of Shahjahan of the Madhuail village, was arrested, according to UNB.
