7 arrested over PSC question paper leak

Members of Detective Branch (DB) of police have arrested 7 members of a gang involved in question paper leaking from different areas of Dhaka city. Some question papers, answer sheets, admit cards and Tk50,000 were recovered from their possessions during the drive conducted on Sunday. The detectives arrested them in connection with leaking question papers of written test for the post of Deputy Assistant Engineer under Public Service Commission (PSC) recently. The arrestees are Md Niamul Hasan alias Saikat, Md Harun-ur-Rashid, Md Delwar Hossain, Md Ramzan Ali, Md Rubel Ahmed, Md Jasim Sikder alias Rana and Md Akbar Hossain. DB sources said based on secret information, a team of detectives conducted a drive at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar High School around 2:00pm on Saturday and arrested Saikat, Md Harun-ur-Rashid and Md Delwar Hossain. Following their statement, the detectives raided Kalyanpur West Point Hotel and arrested Rubel and Ramzan around 5:00pm and later arrested Jasim Sikder from Banglamotor area. The detectives also arrested Akber from PSC area around 5:00pm on Sunday, according to UNB.
