CHITTAGONG, Apr 30: Chittagong University (CU) authorities have expelled seven students belonging to Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) for one year on charges of violence. The decision was taken Saturday at the CU disciplinary committee for attacking two activists of their opponent group. Witnesses said members of the CU shuttle train compartment based group CFC (Choose Friends with Care) attacked the activists of VX (Varsity Express) group and injured two in the Katapahar area at around 10.30 am. Earlier on Friday, the VX group members attacked three students of the CFC group over a cricket match on the playground of the university's Shah Amanat Hall. Both groups belong to the BCL, authorities said.
