7 bodies off Crete may be of missing Bangladeshis

ATHENS, MAR 15: Greek authorities say they have found seven bodies off the island of Crete, where 11 Bangladeshi evacuees from Libya are missing since trying to escape from the ship 10 days ago. Three men died when a group of 49 Bangladeshis lowered themselves by rope into the sea after their ship reached Souda Port on March 5, as thousands of foreigners were evacuated by sea from Libya to the southern Greek island. Authorities believe the Bangladeshi workers may have been trying to avoid being sent back home. - AP/UNB
