7-day Rathajatra festival concludes

The seven-day Rathajatra festival concluded Monday with the return journey of the chariots of Lord Jagannath, his sister Subhadra and brother Balaram termed as 'Ulto Rathajatra,'reports BSS.
The Rathajatra, chariot festival of Lord Jagannath and one of the religious festivals of the Hindu community, was celebrated in the city as elsewhere across the country and other parts of world on June 29.
In observance of the concluding day of the festival, the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) brought out a colourful procession placing Lord Jagannath, his sister Shubhadra and brother Balaram in three tastefully decorated chariots from the premises of Dhakeshwari National Temple in the afternoon. Hundreds of Hindu devotees pulled the ropes of the three chariots taking part in the march.
