7-day special Eid trains from Thursday

Bangladesh Railway will operate special Eid trains on different routes for seven days from Thursday (July 31) to facilitate people’s return to workplace from their homes in villages and towns after Eid. Railway Minister Mujibul Haque has disclosed the plan during a visit to Feni Railway Station. He said the government had launched several special Eid trains for the home-bound travelllers. He said: ‘Ansar, police, RAB and BGB members are maintaining security at every station.’ The minister said though the train schedules had been dislocated passengers ‘did not suffer much’. He informed that the government had undertaken 46 projects for solution to different problems and development of railway, according to bdnews24.com.
