7 die in crash at Abhoynagar

Seven people have died after the auto-rickshaw they were travelling in collided head-on with a truck at Jessore’s Abhoynagar Upazila. The deceased could not be identified immediately. At least three other people were injured in the accident at Noapara on Jessore-Khulna Highway at 6:00am on Tuesday. The auto-rickshaw collided head on with a truck coming from the opposite direction, said Abhoynagar Fire Service Deputy Director Nahid Mamun quoting witnesseses. ‘The auto-rickshaw went completely crushed beneath the truck.’ On information, police recovered the bodies and took them to Abhoynagar Police Station. The three injured were admitted to Sadar Hospital, according to a private TV channel.
